RIMS' leadership and AMA delegation attended the annual NAC, held in Washington, DC from March 1–3, 2010.

In July 2007, RI law imposed a 2% gross receipts tax on physicians who perform imaging services or have licensed ambulatory surgery centers. This tax affects hundreds of physicians, including some primary care practices. RIMS moved immediately to challenge the legality of this law, but the process requires several steps.
