Edwin N. Forman, MD received the Dr. Herbert Rakatansky Award for exemplary professionalism and humanitarian service in the field of medicine. Michael E. Migliori, MD, FACS received the Dr. Charles L. Hill Award for outstanding leadership and service. Philip R. Hinderberger of NORCAL Mutual Insurance was honored upon his retirement for his many years of association with RIMS. Diane R. Siedlecki, MD was recognized with gratitude as she completed her term as RIMS President.

RIMS inaugurated a new slate of officers on September 26: President, Vera A. De Palo, MD; President-Elect, Gary Bubly, MD; Vice President, Nitin S. Damle, MD; Secretary, Alyn L. Adrain, MD; and Treasurer, Jerald C. Fingerut, MD.
